Just when you thought hot cross buns couldn’t get any better. 🤤 Meet our Hot Cross Bun Speckled Easter Egg Bake. 😍​What you’ll need: ​🐣 2 eggs ​🐣 1 cup milk ​🐣 1 cup cream ​🐣 1 teaspoon vanilla essence ​🐣 2 tablespoons sugar ​🐣 6 hot cross buns ​🐣 Half a bag of crushed Darrell Lea Speckled Easter Eggs (plus remaining for topping) ​🐣 1 Cuisinart Air Fryer ​🐣 Optional: dollop of cream for serving​Steps: ​1️⃣ Whisk together 2 eggs, 1 cup milk, 1 cup cream, 1 teaspoon vanilla essence and 2 tablespoons sugar until smooth.​2️⃣ Slice 6 hot cross buns in half. Place the bottom halves in an oven-proof dish and scatter half of the crushed Darrell Lea Speckled Eggs over them.​3️⃣ Top with the remaining hot cross bun tops. If you’re Air Fryer obsessed like us, you’ll love these mini puff pastry croissants filled with our yummy Darrell Lea chocolate eggs – the perfect Easter treat! 🐰​What you’ll need:​🐣 2 sheets of puff pastry, cut into strips (about 5 strips per sheet) ​🐣 A mix of 20 Darrell Lea Raspberry Flavoured or Milk Chocolate Hunting Eggs​🐣 1 whisked egg​🐣 1 Cuisinart Air Fryer Method:​1️⃣ Preheat your air fryer to 200°C.​2️⃣ Roll each chocolate egg in a strip of puff pastry, shaping it like a mini croissant.
